Have you ever had a fabulous dinner? You know the one when the atmosphere and the surroundings were just right. Your server was present and attentive, anticipating every need yet never imposing. The lights were down, not to dark, maybe a few faint shadows. Linen cloth covers the table. Water and wine are in stemmed crystal. Silver on the table has a buffed glow. The room temperature just right, not too warm; the air had a slight movement yet wasn’t cold.

Your clothing, not baggy or tight, simply lose and comfortable. Your mind is alert and attentive yet not busy. Your conversation easy and enjoyable, never feeling pushed or rushed. You’re present in the moment, feeling free to enjoy any pause that may exist, yet you looked forward to what might happen next….

The remembrance above was an event, it didn’t just happen. As simple as it may seem, it is priceless. I say priceless because the memories of such happenings are cherished and shared long after they are gone and offer endless growth opportunities.

Your future, your success, your plan to improve who you are, where you will be and what you have to offer to others is an event. Your success in the home base business, your home life, the golf game, or going to exciting and exotic places is an event.

The Dinner Remembered is the most powerful metaphor of success that I have ever experienced. It involves all areas of your life whether you know it or not.
